On a recent outing around the neighborhood I met the most delightful woman, Ms. Hutchins, at my favorite tea house. Somehow she and I got to talking about relationship troubles and she desperately wanted my advice.

Troubled times
Unfortunately I was in a hurry. I told Ms. Hutchins I would Call her later that evening.

I took out my Phone Book that evening to look up Ms. Hutchins. I opened and flipped page after page... I got frantic looking. But low and behold, Ms. Hutchins was not in the Phone Book!

Oh dear!
Now I know what you're thinking -- people not listed in the Phone Book don't really exist. The Unlisteds are clearly robot holograms put on this planet by the Phone Company to test our faith.

I'm not sure why I even felt the need to clarify something that obvious. Needless to say, I have since avoided the hologram robot calling itself "Ms. Hutchins."

Better off safe than sorry!
And just to be on the safe side, when I place my nightly call to The Operator I confess to my sin of talking to an Unlisted.
