What would be racist in that anyway? It's not really racist to say that some cartoon drawn by an artist (or whatever you call it) is black. Of course, racism is about misunderstanding others if you simplify it. Of course, I don't understand a shit about what I read sometimes so it makes me a racist?

I take back the implication that the drawing is racist. You're right, that was the wrong choice of words. I meant it's just bad taste due to satire being executed half-assed.

I'd say that just leads to ignorance. I think racism implies favor and prejudice (making it more of an "ism").
I'm saying that anyway, in any aspect, whether you flip up, down, left or right, there is nothing racist in saying that a picture of an advice columnist that has been drawn by someone is black.
You have put the things in perspective now, but at first, there was no reason to claim that anything was racist.
It reminds me anyway of some Japanese cartoons that were popular few years ago, called Mangas if I remember. The aformentioned cartoons were sold as paperback books and had some sexual content in them. Well, believe it or not, there was a complaint about the owner of the bookstore that I was working for at the time and they brought the guy to the police station (and this is Canada, not Utah or Wyoming) and claimed that the guy was selling and distributing juvenile pornography.
He had to call his classmate, a well-known criminal lawyer, to take his defense in which he had to show and to demonstrate that cartoons didn't have an age, and especially that they weren't humans, but the fruit of imagination.
In all that story, the fucking thing was a cartoon and the person that made the complaint didn't even see the books for sure, but also drew conclusions too fast.

Although I'm not commenting really on the Danish cartoons about the Coran that were published in some newspaper in Europe, because, in the case of newspaper cartoons, they usually carry a message and are drawn on purpose to carry a message. But anyway, it's really another debate in which the pickiness of religious leaders and some people influenced by some of these religions has to be taken into account.

Racism is the intention behind the image, not the image. Does it have to be a photograph? A photograph of a black person isn't necessarily going to be more prone to racism than something like that cartoon. The purpose of that image was (I think) to make fun of people who are ignorant that YES, there actually ARE black people in this world, and even on the Internet!
