Actually, it was both of you, so neither of you can blame the other.

I can blame you for getting further into it.  Especially when we've solved the problem.

Spelt is right I think, and so is spelled.

They're both okay but it depends on which country you live in. Americans tend to avoid the -t past tense forms.
