We just read The Diary of Anne Frank at school, and we have to write a letter to Iran's president and try to convince him that the Holocaust did exist and that he shouldn't try to get rid of Israel.
Let me help you out here.
Your teacher is mistaken. Iranian President Ahmadinejad never said what the media attributed to him. The media said that he said "Israel should be wiped off the face of the map." In fact, this was a grave mistranslation. No such idiom as "wiped off the face of the map" exists in Persian. The real quote was:
"The Imam said that this regime occupying Jerusalem (een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods) must [vanish from] the page of time (bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad)"
Please do not feed into the propaganda being spewed on TV by the mainstream media, who seem to be acting as unpaid employees for the Department of Defense.

If you're in the US Army, your opinion on the war doesn't count, because you guys aren't allowed to say anything negative about it, or you get court martialled.
Too bad for you I'm already out. So my opinion does count. And by the way, you can't get court martialled for that. If it has something to do with insulting the president or any part of OUR government the most they'll do is give you an Article 15. If you threaten then you get court martialled and prison time. But yeah that's one thing I hated about the Military. You basically have no rights so if you say your opinion, freedom of speech doesn't matter. Glad I'm out and living my life now.
Ohio is exactly like Afghanistan, except they don't count the ballots received by mail in Ohio. At least, in Afghanistan, the Talibans were keeping law and order and every one had to dress and look like this cool, breezy Mullah Omar.
