Tonight, I chose to end the life of my sick and suffering goldfish. This was a very hard decision for me to make, but I believe that I did the most humane thing for him.
We had to do the same with our cat in mid-December.
That's a responsibility we accept when we take care of a domestic animal. They rely on us for the basics.
I love my cat and miss him but I know we did the right thing. He had way more bad days than good towards the end and he didn't deserve it. I know we'll get him back if we should.
That sucks. But the thing is, you have to think about what the fish would have wanted. I would think it would be kinda selfish to have the fish get sicker and sicker and have the owner kinda deny all that just to be with the fish. It's a tough decision to make with any life-form, but you have to know that you're both better off.
I think euthanasia is a necessary thing to do when needed. If my gran (god forbid) got amnesia I would take her lifebecause i know that's what she would have wanted. Am I wrong?
I however am neutral on this topic. But lord does like to control who dies and when they die. He is power mad and bossy and a pansy! So gay!.
